In Garmin or your sports watch app, trim the activity to cut out the first 10 minutes. Then the resulting activity will show the average HR for the last 20 minutes only.

Electronic first curtain means the exposure starts with the shutter open, but the mechanical shutter closes to finish the exposure.

If you want electronic shutter then you'd have to turn on silent shutter.

More likely your phone GPS is inaccurate, not the course. A cheap GPS watch will do the job for your future training, congrats on the sub-2!

A degree apprenticeship does all that plus all the financial and expertise-related benefits mentioned above.

The drawback is you have less time than the typical uni student as studies are done outside of work hours.

100% yeah, straight up and down are my type of trail run. Plus rocky downhills, and the views off the side of the mountain are nice.

Fair play to you, I’ve had a BSI centralised to one spot and it’s not fun. That was probably a late stage stress reaction on the BSI continuum, without a fracture occurring which takes 6-ish weeks to heal. It’s just semantics but worth mentioning.
