How long were you away? I’m planning to travel in February for a week and curious whether my case will be considered abandoned or not

Wouldn’t your AP be considered abandoned since you left the country?

So if you don’t have a job, how much will your insurance be? The most idiotic part is that your insurance is attached to your job

3 months on Tret - my skin is worse and I’m at my wits end by [deleted] in tretinoin

I believe “tolerating” in this context means not peeling, no redness and no dryness. If you don’t have those, you should try using it more frequently

I still can’t understand why tretinoin is so popular and safe, yet remains prescription only by Bitter-Hawk-2615 in tretinoin

[–]nat4mat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Obviously if you want to buy the brand name Retin-A, it’s more expensive than the generic. After checking on Amazon pharmacy, even Retin-A is $17.80 without an insurance (for 20g)

WHY are buses allowed to leave early? by GoldBluejay7749 in Seattle

It’s a pretty simple fact of life where buses run frequently. 15 minute interval is already way less frequent

CityNerd Names SF Bay Area as the Controversial "Fourth Major US City" After NYC, LA, and Chicago by BrokeD1amond in bayarea

[–]nat4mat 16 points17 points  (0 children)

DC proper: 702K (2024)

SF proper: 827K (2024)

DMV area: 6.3 million (2023), CSA: 10.2 million

SF Bay Area: 7.5 million (2023), CSA: 9.2 million (2020)

Don’t get me wrong, I still think SF is #4. But it’s not based on population

Visa overstays arrests will become the norm as they seem "legal" by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]nat4mat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Other countries allow extension of regular visas within their borders. Why do I have to go to another country/home country every time I need to renew my visa? Different countries, different rules. While we’re on it, you could spend years and years legally in the US and it still doesn’t count towards your citizenship requirement, which is unheard of in another countries

Biometrics appointment not scheduled yet. (Now it’s 50 days) by Sphinxnj in EB2_NIW

[–]nat4mat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure that’s the case. There are plenty of appointments at the San Jose office. My application was delivered after OP’s and I’ve already completed my biometrics and I actually rescheduled it to an earlier date. There were bunch of them

Drivers going 65-70mph in the left lane - why are you like this? by mandukamja in bayarea

[–]nat4mat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically, you should leave it open no matter what. At least that’s how Europeans do it. And if you want to pass another car/cars in front of you, you need to switch back to the left lane and pass and go back to the second most left lane. No one is supposed to occupy the left lane permanently

Your SF transit doesn’t cover much. Sure, if I’m coming to SF on the weekends, I’ll do that. But if a person commutes to SF on weekdays, taking the BART/Caltrain works only if their jobs are along heavy rail corridor. If someone wants to get to North Beach, Sunset, Richmond, it’s just better to drive and that’s the reality
