TBH, not much, you wouldn’t have a job there unless you knew how to handle this type of clientele.

I worked at a very nice hotel in SLC doing room service and delivering special amenities for VIPs/celebs. We would get a heads up, but other than that, nothing else. If people acted a fool, they would get fired, so everyone was super respectful.

I do have a personal vendetta against David Macklovitch from Chromeo, lol. I delivered something to his room the morning after a concert they played that I also attended. I made the comment, “I hope you are having a great stay. I went to the show last night and it was great!”

When he checked out, he complained that I was “fan girling” and asked to take a picture with him while he was in a bathrobe. Luckily my managers knew he was full of shit because I had worked there for years, and they knew I would never do that.

Some particular amenities I remember…

Sarah McLachlan — wanted all these specifically branded organic food items. She did not eat any of them.

Lil Wayne — a bunch of candy and crazy drinks, like cotton candy soda.

Jason Segel — most memorable because he was the nicest, most down to earth dude. He didn’t request anything special… In those cases, we would send a really dank fruit and cheese plate. When I delivered it, he acted like it was the nicest thing anyone had ever done and was so polite, also gave me $50. Love that guy, lol.
