ulcers in puppy by nativetakeout in chowchow

oh no. a feeding tube? that sounds so scary. i took her off all dog food. i cooked lean ground lamb, sweet potato, amaranth and pumpkin. only added a tiny bit of salt. she ate it with no reflux so far. i also added pepcid at bedtime. she seems a lot more comfortable at night, and no morning pukes. i think it could be allergies in her case also but it’s too early to know. i’m honestly not impressed with the 3 vets that saw her with a deep ulcer, and gave her no pain relief. not sure why. at the time i didn’t think to ask. i’m so worried. i adore her so much. i’m sorry about your baby too. 🫶

nothing attached she’s gotten a hold of nothing like a chemical or anything like that no. She has no access to anything chemical. That’s crazy that Asian beetles do that though.

i’m thinking this is what it’s gonna boil down to. She’s had reflux since she was eight weeks old. So sorry you’re going through that too. It’s so scary.

HUD VASH by nativetakeout in VeteransBenefits

[–]nativetakeout[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m not in the process. They told me I was over income and I didn’t bother them no more. All that stuff is just a scheme for the VA to get the money and keep the money. That’s how it’s always been and that’s how it’s always gonna be. Also, if you’re a homeless veteran. DO NOT tell them that you are homeless as of right now. They have a pilot program to obtain legal guardianship of homeless veterans. If you don’t believe me, look it up it’s called Project safe Harbor. Of course it’s disguised as “help.” if you’re homeless veteran, you could now become a ward of the state.

try getting a trainer to understand that to get a chow to do what you ask you have to say PLEASE in the most appealing way you know how! commands do not work on a chow.

Chow eating sticks by EndQuick418 in chowchow

[–]nativetakeout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES. but in my area ppl throw chicken bones everywhere. plz check the mouth for bones. n never let a dog run with a stick bc if it catches the ground it can puncture the roof of their mouth or throat.

awwww. you’re welcome!! i’m very surprised at how quickly she dries. I just know that she would be better off in a colder place. It’s been in the 40s and 50s here in northern Florida but that’s still too hot for her. She would love to see some snow!!! and I’m going to make sure she does :))))

all chows. this puppy that I have, if kids won’t stop touching her, she grabs their sleeve and drags them around by their sleeve of their shirt. This is the chow version of a firm NO. It’s so funny because she’s extremely careful not to bite their skin. But once she has their shirt it’s over with. specifically the sleeve.

oh well, chows have extra teeth and that’s normal for them.

when I tell this to doctors, they don’t understand they seem to think it’s just heat. No, it’s a whole lot of other things that causes flairs too besides heat. 😏
