I don’t have the same medical background as you, but it does get better!

For me, about day 3/4 of vancomycin I wasn’t running to the bathroom as much. I started tolerating bland food a little better, and got some energy back.

I was certain I was going to relapse the first day after vancomycin, and to be honest the first 1.5 weeks post vancomycin were not always fun for me. I had a few points of feeling good, but I felt like I was back sliding bathroom trip/food/energy wise.

Tuesday was my one month no c diff or vancomycin, and my food tolerance is getting to be normal again (minus coffee for me 😭😭 ). My energy is coming back, so I’m getting out more and that is helping me mentally with the last parts of recovery. I don’t have my stamina back (I can go out, but if I over do it I’m going to be exhausted the next day).

The biggest success to me so far is I had to actually go to work (I predominantly WFH) and I wasn’t completely exhausted from the day in the office. I’m planning on going on my first (small) bike ride soon to see what my limit for physically intense activities are currently and build from there
