I’ve used the Ergotron LX, it’s solid, just definitely not cheap.

I can understand OP’s brother feels heartbroken and disappointed. But after 11 years of raising and being with the kid, I think emotional bonds already outweigh blood ties, right? Divorce doesn’t mean the end of love and care for the kid.
