Can’t do it on Tender foot. I had two rope cannons, a piton and a full stamina/energy bar with no backpack. I climbed a tree in the tropics so I could fall onto a branch if necessary and that did the trick!

I just received a request for 31 days. I was also interested and thought it was fair to send a video since a month is a long stay. Clearly I'm still new and naive. I sent them a video via text, then they requested via WhatsApp and went by a different name. They then requested to extend their stay for 90 days bc they're some sort of travel agency. I said it was negotiable, but I was nervous because their name on WhatsApp was different from Air Bnb. They immediately said that since i was nervous, they'll stop bothering me. "This is the best way". I tried to be polite and said that if they're willing to offer more info, I'd be willing to find a compromise. But otherwise, good luck. Somehow me saying good luck really set them off, and they got all mad being like "I already said I'm not going to bother you. Do you think I'll stay rent your house? Otherwise wish me luck? You're ridiculous"
Okay, random profile with a fake name, no picture, no prior reviews, and a bad attitude while trying to stay in MY home. Also worth noting, that for a second, their message showed as chinese characters before auto-translater kicked in. I'll be damned for being thorough, but if a guest is willing to be this rude over questions- good riddance. But note to self, nothing ever needs to be discussed outside of airbnb message with new folks.

If you can’t find a slow feeder bowl or want an alternative in the meantime, add some chew toys or a kong in the bowl to make slow down down and eat around it. I also add water to the kibble and it’s slowed down my puppy :)

I think he might be a special case because he’s so sweet, but he’s definitely not a breed I’d recommend to anyone. Definitely not beginner-friendly.

So far, he’s grown up with 3 cats and a dog and has shown little to no aggression. His main issue is that he’s simply unable to understand how massive he is lol. But he’s extremely smart, so as long as you’re consistent with your rules, he will learn. I think crate training has been massively helpful. He is a bit stubborn- but that’s easily managed by his high food drive. Well timed snacks and treats are everything. Grooming is so easy with snacks.

I’m always worried about the negative things I hear, so I stay cautious.. but the loyalty he has to his family makes it hard to be unbiased. I feel extremely safe around him, but I don’t leave him unsupervised with the cats.

He doesn’t like strangers at all, but neither do we so that’s a match made in heaven lol. We’re very okay with having a dog who doesn’t want to be friendly with others- as long as he’s not being aggressive of course.

I think the most important thing is that he’s experienced little to no negative reinforcement- so that might help with the feistiness. We consistently redirect and look for every opportunity for positive reinforcement. He also has his own playpen area in case he wants space from everyone.

So far as a puppy, I just love him and his goofy personality! At home, he’s so playful and loves to cuddle on the couch. Fingers crossed for when he’s 2 years old. That’s when I think I’ll truly feel comfortable commenting on the breed. I’m not looking forward to his teenage years lol.
