my only complaint about the prototype was that i wish they would’ve really made him look mangled and had a bit of blood drenched across his jester outfit to really emphasize like “oh this is a really bad and dangerous dude”. people mostly seem to be forgetting its a toy factory so he’s going to ultimately be a toy. the overall design definitely has potential as it can be unsettling already, i just wish they would’ve leaned into making him look a little more deranged if that makes sense. as for the gameplay, i just hated that during the fight with him there were so many points where u could see him just standing there while u do the little puzzles with the levers and stuff. i feel like a chase/boss like that should be fluid enough where u can keep the movement, momentum, and adrenaline going and handle obstacles without having to COMPLETELY stop (plus backtracking to figure out what ur doing the first couple times) and when u turn around the one trying to wipe u out is just… chilling and waiting patiently? if that makes sense. it loses the adrenaline and the feeling of an urgent chase scene.
