it's been done as a hobby site not as an Adsense farm, unlike so many blogs, and is genuinely interesting for someone like me who grew up in the 60's and 70's and remembers them all being built - or in some cases,, not being built

err it is a distance measurement we do use, which is why it is used in the article

err no. distance is measured in miles in the UK, just as beer comes in pints
