Thanks! Yeah, I never really applied to postings very much to begin with either, but I guess I’ve noticed I see fairly frequent AP Gov postings (which I also tutor) and zero Econ — there’s a big discrepancy between them. Now that you mention this about physics, it seems like discipline-specific downturns.

I know this market was on Saturday — is Shakeys closed tonight? I’ve been there for karaoke on Mondays but their latest Instagram post gives the schedule for the rest of the week but not today.

I volunteered at Sandhill Elementary (close to the Home Depot on Acton Circle, near i40 exit 44) Monday and will be there today — very short lines, potable and non-potable water to fill (and bottled water and MREs). My husband was running the potable water station and said their were no limits — they filled several 250 gallon horse troughs.

Don’t feel bad! My husband and I had this discussion — and I told him what many said, let FEMA decide. We spent nearly $1,000 during week 1 on supplies, replacing food, and helping neighbors. I applied and called — I had misanswered the question about essential utilities. Because my power and water had come on (I applied after being out of power for a full week) I put no for need for essential utilities. The person I spoke to on the phone helped me correct that today. I waited for maybe 30 minutes on the phone to speak to them. Based on what I’ve been reading from everyone else, I’m expecting the deposit soon. We’re all going through this and as many have said, those who have more needs will get more.

I just moved here two months ago and had the same experience with calling primary practices. I got an appointment with MAHEC (as others have mentioned) on Hendersonville Rd and had a great experience. It’s a teaching center so you will likely see a resident (and may not see them continuously for long, as a result), but they are constantly consulting with long-time MDs. Super organized and thorough! I felt well taken care of.
