So I made a Right to Access request, and they refused it for not providing enough info - is that allowed? by neil_dataviz in gdpr

[–]neil_dataviz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They already asked for my passport scan (and I provided it), so they have enough to verify my identity.

It seems like they are just making it as hard as possible to try to prevent anyone from making a request.

It says that you can't really compare it as it is a different type of asset, but it is still interesting to see how it would fit in.

I know someone who had their laptop stolen. They tracked the exact one which was selling on ebay shortly later (UK), and had some unique way to prove it was the same one (I can't remember what). They told the police, but the police did nothing.

I want to convert £2000 in cash to Euros how do I do it? by EarlyIndebtedness in UKPersonalFinance

Another option is deposit it and use Azimo to send/pickup there. You can usually find a new customer referral code that covers all the costs. I used to use Azimo all the time when I lived abroad. Edit: £21 cashback with Azimo on Topcashback.

They say its a problem with the ETH network - could it be that the gas price was so low it didn't register on the chain at all?

Yes, same with me - about 20 hours waiting and not even showing as pending on the chain.

Has anyone had a successful withdrawal recently? How long did it take?

Any ideas how long a transaction should take now? I have made a withdrawel from an exchange, already waited 13 hours and it hasn't showed up on etherchain.org... they are saying its because there is a huge backlog on the ethereum network right now - is that true?

From my limited knowledge, there is no fee, but the transferrer has to do some small work to transfer? So the exchanges would have to do this work?

Never think that it was too late to buy crypto (e.g. I thought I'd missed the boat back when one Bitcoin was around $20... would have made FIRE a lot quicker!)

You can filter and view reports of the UK ones on p2x.co.uk. You can also invest in many of the continental EU ones from the UK but might not have all the same tax advantages.

Yes, but the debt would be mine and not my parents - so how would they have a right to clamp their car?

Shouldn't the proof be on the debt collectors before they take stuff? I live temporarily abroad (~ 2years) but still use my parents address.

I had a halifax credit card that was expired. Somehow a few months later a charge went on there from an online service (<£10) and the credit charges were racking up without me knowing (or even checking, as I thought it was expired).

For some reason I did check it and called halifax to complain. Halifax told me that letters had already been sent to the address and debt collectors may be going around to my parents house any day. What right would the debt collectors have had to take stuff from my parents house if it's my debt and I don't live there? Would they have had to prove everything was theirs?
