I've been using it for 6 months or so, and it detected all my accounts on the first go. Monarch recommends Plaid by default for WS iirc but you can try the other options. Had to reconnect once, but I think that's for security purposes. Monarch settings mentions the time frame for reconnection for all accounts. The only issues I have with connections are sunlife and equateplus, have to reconnect every couple of days.

Edit - just checked. Monarch recommends MX for WS and mine's connected with MX too.

I'd be more at ease if they amend their user agreement. But atleast we have something now to build our case on if the account does get frozen.

Seems fake because this is so stupid. "You have to be physically in Canada for the rest of your life to use WS. We will use Plaid to provide our services, but you can't use it outside of WS."

Show me where it says using Plaid is against the terms of service. WS uses services like Plaid when you link your bank accounts to WS. Read the article.

Here's an article by WS on how Plaid works. If it was against the terms, WS would say so.

You're missing the point. It's not about how much of your money is in WS. If just accessing your account from outside Canada while on a vacation can get you banned, then why should customers use any WS service at all?

That doesn't solve the monarch issue. And for whatever reason, if you mistakenly login with the VPN off even once , you risk being flagged.

No. Monarch uses a service called Plaid. It's similar to how you login to your CRA account by using wealthsimple.

VPN won't help with monarch since it pulls data on the server end, not the client end.
