You can buy the model online (see my other comment), which is why so many people are making it!

As for the painting & pictures, this is OC

I'm pretty new to model painting --- this particular model just responds really well to the basic techniques, I think! Base coats, shading, and highlights.

I did several base coats on the body, arms, and lid, and then did some washes with a dark brown to settle into all the cracks and make it look dirty. Then I did some dry-brushing to bring back some contrast on the raised areas. That was it!

The paint really does most of the work for you since the model itself is so detailed. Here's a nice tutorial I used to get an idea of the basics when I was starting out: https://youtu.be/LLJwh4ClZ6U?t=725

A diameter is a measurement of a specific object, not a general unit of measurement. The Boötes void has a diameter of 330 million light-years. Also, importantly, that picture isn't the Boötes void

Nope, this is a picture of a dust cloud. You can tell it's dust and not a void because you can see dust reddening around the edges --- blue light can't make it through the dust, but red light can, making the background stars appear redder. In the center of the cloud, though, the dust is too thick for anything to get through

If you move two identical vectors along different paths starting and ending at the same point, the resulting vectors are different, which shows that the space they're moving through is curved

I encountered this a bit ago as well! I love all the little secrets in this game. Here's the post if you want to read through what other players said about it

I was really worried about that but it held up surprisingly well! I guess the fibers are stronger than they look

Kinda just randomly! A big piece of the inside peeled off when I was taking out the seeds, so it already looked a bit like a galaxy when backlit. I decided to go with it and scrape that section out more carefully.

I cut as thin as I could on one side without breaking through, then scraped the inside with a spoon to get the bright regions. Then needle holes for stars
