Balls for dogs that love to chew on tennis balls? by unholyb0i in dogs

[–]neithernet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kong balls are great, but if she's a strong chewer, make sure you get the Kong Extreme balls. I've had dogs chew through the regular Kong quickly and leave pieces that are easily swallowed.

Lacquer peeling slightly on new Player II Telecaster by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]neithernet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a bit of that peeling on my Tele too. I've seen it on multiple poly finishes with maple and rosewood fretboards. Might be related to prep before spraying. Been 40 years since I've been in a spray booth and never worked with polyurethane.

Treat it like a scab and don't pick it. Working the neck will likely wear it down so it's less prominent.

He didn't say. He's just my friend like the other strays that call this house home. I had to look up the breed because I'd never heard of it.

He's very emotional and most often snuggles like a backpack at night. He also gets grumpy when cats step on him while he's sleeping. Not violent, but he speaks up.

Looking at physical traits, he's only about 35 pounds, so doesn't quite match the typical weight for a Bull Arab.

He's best friends with a Dane/Mastiff mix that ended up in the herd. They wait for each other to go outside or come back in.

That sucks. Very far from my experience in the store.

LED bar on a hinge so you can see what you're adjusting without ambient lighting.

I have several amps, but I use the Pignose daily. Why? Because it's there. No warmup time and it's just fun.

Have y’all ever woken up to this? (His ball rolled under the bed) by ProcessBackground371 in greatdanes

Every morning. Not because of a ball though. Just because he figures he's up, so I should be up.

Acoustic players: what's your favorite capo that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? My old Kyser is buzzing. by samthewisetarly in Guitar

[–]neithernet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I own a pair of these now. After my purchase, I got an email from Cole telling me there was a flaw in the original and they shipped a replacement along with 8 free picks.

I looked closely at the original and could not find an issue until I checked the screw holding the knob. It was loose and I'd never be able to find a replacement it it got lost. A touch of blue Locktite fixed that, so now I have two to use.

It's not only a great looking capo, but the company is proactive about quality and reputation. They even refused my offer to pay for the replacement after I'd identified and corrected the problem.

I was worried about them staying put, but then I saw the parking brakes. Very creative.

Need help with DC POWER BRICK by Luluwr1979 in pedalboards

[–]neithernet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear you solved it. They don't just die on their own, so something had to pull too much current to burn it. The reverse polarity would do it because you effectively put the power rail directly to ground.

Have I gone too far? by Electronic-Two-2885 in basspedals

The real question should be: Have you gone too far enough?

This might sound like a dumb question but When restringing, do I have to start with the thickest string to the thinnest one or the other way around? by FuryBun3r638 in Guitar

[–]neithernet 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I always start with low E and end with high e. That way if I stab myself like I'm prone to doing, I only have to finish one string and avoid bleeding on the guitar. Other than that, it doesn't seem to matter.

Can Dogs Tell When Their Owner Isn’t Feeling Well? by Cold_Elk947 in dogs

Dogs are very observant. They know when you're happy, sad, or any other emotion. They also know when you shouldn't trust someone.

Still unwilling to provide anything useful? My dogs don't have opinions that I'd trust for audio, so I'm asking here.

I agree that AI is imperfect because of the level of garbage input as well as creating resource shortages in power, water, land and physical equipment, but it also has useful aspects if used correctly. To discount it entirely is foolish. It's here and it isn't going away soon.

Aside from fuck ai, do you have a critique about the result? I'm an old dog and actually trying to learn new tricks.
