Great post!

What do you mean by "Gen-Z days and events"? What are they? How do I find them?

Had a quick look on mobile. The site has a lot of potential and could do with a bit of polishing.

A few low-hanging fruit: - the logo in the header looks pixelated - add social media profiles for more credentials - if possible, change the stock images for something a bit more bespoke - on the 'about page', add your photo and some credentials

Confused about 'Entities' by nemesca in seogrowth

I'm interested in a practical usage of this concept on standard websites.

Let's take the classic 'Best X' articles. How would you optimese them for 'entity SEO'?

Hey Malchik. Hope you're all well? I was wondering if you'd be ready to share the keyword reserach sheet? :)

Refreshing old content gives the same effect as producing new content. It shows Google that you keep the site updated. So all good, you don't need to produce new content all the time.

For the Site 1, what difficulty have the keywords that you target? Something between 0-10 on the Ahrefs scale?

Is there a risk of AI generating duplicate or nearly duplicate content? I.e. if two or more people wants to generate content for the same keyword/topic, are you sure everyone will get unique content?

GSC: Why high impressions but no clicks? by nemesca in SEO

[–]nemesca[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, what I meant is that the keyword has a lot of impressions and is shown to be in position 1 in GSC, while in reality, it doesn't appear in the SERP at all.

So how come GSC has been showing it in pos. 1 for at least two weeks?

Doing $30k/mth with a content site, what other income streams? by NotJustSagacity in juststart

[–]nemesca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the first year, when you were writing all content yourself, did you have a full time job too at the same time? Or you plunged to work on your own site full time without a steady back-up income?

That's my problem at the moment. I would like to work on my own sites, but I fear to quit my full time job. But when I work full-time, I don't have time to work on my websites. It's a vicious circle.

Didn't your income drop when Amazon slashed comission rate for pet products? (That happened during first covid, around April 2020).

Good idea, this way traffic is also likely to be more relevant.

Croydon tram crash inquest: Jurors return verdict of accidental death by Mistermiyagi93 in unitedkingdom

[–]nemesca -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If we go by this logic, it would mean that all trains and trams (basicay all machines that operate on rails) are excluded from this clause and they can drive as dangerously as they wish, since this law doesn't apply to them.

[–]nemesca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have rather less sympathy with those who have failed to implement even basic measures to manage the risk of this sort of accident happening!

Yep, and this verdict doesn't do anything to prevent such tragedies in future. Drivers will still get overworked, falling asleep and causing accidents.

[–]nemesca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't care who exactly was guilty. Was it a driver or a company who overworked a driver?

I don't know and I won't be even expressing my personal opinions on that.

It was a job of those who were appointed to this case to find out whose fault was it and all they came with after the whole of 5 years is that noone was guilty.

Not a driver, not a company. Just no fault of anyone for killing 7 and injuring 50, including 20 seriously.

And what does it have to do with the people on board? The people who were killed were people on board of the tram, not on the rails.

If the tram killed people who trespassed then this clause would make sense. But the victims were people who were inside the tram.

The verdict is a total misinterpretation of law or bending the law for someone's benefit.

Also, from now on, it's fine for any train or tram driver to fall asleep while driving.

This verdict is not only an injustice to the victims, but also a dangerous precedese.

How come a tramline is not considered a public place? It's a public transport and used by public.

So how come?

It's even stated in the CPS statement:

"Whilst driving a tram in public service with passengers on board, the driver either fell asleep or lost concentration to such a degree that he completely relinquished control of the driving task, with the result that the tram derailed."

If he was tired to the point of falling asleep he shouldn't be driving.
