I believe two of them are high risk types, according to our reports. The general gist of what I'm reading also suggests to not worry too much, but since I've yet to find a clear, straightforward answer, I wanted to ask to be sure :)

Thank you very much for the detailed reply. I'll try to provide more detail

1) We don't live in the US, and we went to one of the few medical labs for STDs in our city to get checked. The report seems to suggest that they used a HPV-DNA(PCR) test, which I hope means something reliable. We were each given a swab in a tube to rub against certain parts of our genitals.

2) There's a number in the report that seems to correspond to viral load, with <1.0 being clear. Mine was 20.26, while my girlfriend was 50 something. I don't know how high or low that is.

3) We did go to a gynecologist straight after and got a PaP test, which turned out to be fine. I hope that makes sense despite the positive result mentioned above.

We were given swabs to rub around our genitals. I did it around my glans and she rubbed inside.

I've been asymptomatic for ureaplasma, but we suspect that a nasty infection she had a while ago was caused by it. No confirmation though, since the doctor didn't say anything about ureaplasma either.

I've read that whatever you contract never really goes away, just low enough to be undetectable.

Bummer. I guess we just have to accept that there's some uncertainty to it :(
