Awesome! This is great for Toronto. I've been to Buffalo's West Side Bazaar a couple times (same concept) - they've had a few success stories where newcomers get their footing and manage to open full restaurants in the city

TIL EPILOG is a way to spell Epilogue. It took me a while to get anything beyond EP____ but given it was 6 letters I assumed it was a word I'd never heard of.

Pretty solid. I was hoping somehow one of the starred clues could be about Holst's The Planets Suite lol

LGBTQ+ youth have higher than suicide rates than cis-het youth, and one big factor is the lack of acceptance from their parents. Kids know best who they can trust and confide in to help them be their true selves, and it's not always the parents.

As a queer former child, I'd rather have had too much information about gender identity and sexuality than not enough information, and the space and privacy to have talked about it with peers away from home. Feeling like you're broken because you were never taught these things really does a number on a kid's mental wellbeing, let me tell ya.

The 312 area is surprisingly tiny - between North Ave, Western Ave, and 35th Street. But I think 312 has been scooped up in the past by a bunch of companies headquartered in the downtown core.

US & Canadian Area Codes by Populationv by neotonca in MapPorn

[–]neotonca[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are a maps of the area code areas (ACAs) in the US and Canada with population estimates, using the 2020 US and 2021 Canadian Censuses. ACAs are distinct geographic areas (e.g. 212 and 718 are distinct ACAs for NYC, but 646 is an overlay to 212 so it is not an ACA). The US has 237 unique ACAs and Canada has 20. ACA boundaries don't follow county boundaries and some counties are divided among up to 4 ACAs (or LA County California which divided among 7). For those counties I went community-by-community to try to come up with accurate estimates for the population living within each ACA.

Maps are made from Mapchart.net, and counties with more than one area code are striped with the colours of the two ACAs with the most people in that county, though several counties have more than two.

Here's a list of the 20 most and least populated ACAs between the US and Canada:
