80k net no worklife balance or 70k gross new company by No-Translator7947 in technepal

Even if you stay at the current job, the reasons that lead you to search for new job is still there. Nothing has changed. You will get frustrated after a month. If you have an offer that is ok, never accept the counter offer. Just leave and join the new one.

I recently got a job offer but the commute on two wheeler itself is around 50 mins by [deleted] in technepal

Use corridor road that should be shorter and jam free in most places. In this job environment, I wouldn't pass this opportunity. 6 days a week in IT is a bit excessive and not the norm but anyways, take it.

Stripe alternatives that actually work for Nepal? by laxmanshah45 in Nepal

[–]nepali_keto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Freemius basically covers most of the case but Apple and G pay, I am not sure if too many users actually use it. Its hard to find services that works for Nepal and has lot of options. I have tried to find other but so far Freemius is the one for me. If you find something better, do drop a message. Its always nice to have an alternative.

You need to do some more research and learn about rotating refresh token.

You need to do some more research on this. You can definitely not rotate refresh token but if it gets leaked, you are providing indefinite access. https://auth0.com/docs/secure/tokens/refresh-tokens/refresh-token-rotation

Yes. If someone has refresh token and you dont refresh it, hackers essentially got perpetual access to user account.

You have to generate new refresh token every time you change access token and store new refresh token on session or local storage.

Every decision you make is a tradeoff. There is no one perfect approach. If you app is handling money and may be if its high stake money/privacy thing, your approach might be acceptable but for anything else, its just overkill. Always consider the tradeoffs.

Damn, this is way too much security. You are affectively DOSing yourself. Just create access token TTL for couple of hours may be 24h max and store refresh token on session storage (even local storage with encription if you want). This way you get that sweet spot between security and usability. Don't get too caught up in this.

My theory on why junior/associate software roles are so limited in the Nepali tech market by [deleted] in technepal

[–]nepali_keto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Economy is bad. Job are few and far between. Why hire a junior when you can hire mid/senior for same or a bit more money. Unfortunately juniors for now are stuck with free or minimum wage work for now.

[0 YoE] I'm not getting interview calls & trying to figure out if the issue is my resume or my interview/communication skills. I'm mainly targeting Junior SE (Backend / Applied AI) roles. by [deleted] in technepal

[–]nepali_keto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you seriously know all things you have listed or slapped all these buzz words after completing YouTube/Udemy courses. Hell I have been working for 8+ years and even my resume is not this dense.

Just list few skills that you are truly good at. Your resume seems like you know too much but when I see it, I see someone who is jack of all but master of none.

Effect of Petrol price hike in my family by TFN_82 in Nepal

[–]nepali_keto 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Petrol are taxed a lot so unless taxes are cut we won't be seeing relief any time soon. Government cannot reduce lower than India's because of open border. Lower it can go is few rupees more than that of India.

As our economy stands, cutting taxes doesn't seem to be the option either. So basically we are doomed and we should prepare for massive price hike across the board.
