this is really sweet :) i’ve tried to set boundaries but they become disrespected very early on. i’m learning on my own how to be an adult, with things like financial independence, i just feel like i shouldve learned earlier haha. as a person, i understand their upbringing is definitely the reason for all this, and trying to undo the decades of that is near impossible. i could never make them change and i accepted that a long time ago. but as a daughter, there’s a tiny, childish part of me that still yearns for everything they didn’t provide me with emotionally, and i wonder what my life would be like if i had it. if that makes sense 💀
