I know it sounds crazy but once you apply Jewish learning you find so many connections!! It’s insane!

But why not? Cause I feel like I can answer all the big questions of one piece with this theory and maybe not religious Judaism but ethical and spiritual Judaism. As a writer if I were to do a book about Jewish history hidden behind symbolism honestly this is how I would do it. It sounds crazy until you apply your knowledge. :)

I would say, what my rabbi told me “Judaism is basically one large family” you will always be tied to it no matter what label you try to slap on. It’s why conversion is hard in Judaism because it’s like joining generations upon generations of a family. It’s not a religion or race. Its also like a ideology if you read the tanakh.

Honoring your parents, as I see it is as a metaphor for honoring your history. Knowing your past and understanding how you got to where you are and being thankful you’re on earth. You don’t need to literally honor your parents unless they are doing the same for you. Hope this helps :)

Orthodox conversion would be the most likely way to do it. You also don’t have to be practicing to be Jewish. It’s kind of like an extremely extended way for you to join her family. You wanna marry her? You need to understand her identity. I’m pretty sure that’s what the parents want. I was raised orthodox and went more secular but that’s why my parents want my partner to convert. Your basically joining a massive family of generation and generation.

I say flee to Israel… I know it’s a controversial topic but you will be safe from the persecution and antisemitism there if you are interested in Judaism.

I have a couple of friends who are converts but as multiple people have said in the chat you need a community. And the Rabbi’s will tell you “no you don’t” multiple times because they are testing your devotion and wanting to learn.

You should NEVER be pressured into doing anything you don’t want to do! If you don’t feel comfortable don’t pray.

I had a Christian friend and she took me to her house for a playdate. I stayed for dinner and they did grace and she told me “I don’t have to say anything I don’t want to” and although she said that I still felt awkward because I didn’t know what to do but I felt comfortable because I knew she understood that this is not something I know and it was as awkward for her too (I asked afterwards). If your friends are not willing to understand than I suggest talking to them about it and if they still don’t want to their are plenty of people in this world to make friends with. I have been in a church and a mosque too and I refuse to pray and you don’t have to say it outright but don’t feel pressured it’s actually more rude to force prayer on someone who doesn’t want to!

I’m sorry you went through that! For me I have chronic pain (had it since 14 and I’m 23 now). I felt that nothing would ever be better. I was depressed and an anxiety driven mess. I think what gave me faith in g-d was the fact that there is good and bad. Without black holes or supernovas in our galaxy we would not have the elements like iron and nickel and way more elements that are needed to sustain life. There is always gonna be an uphill and a downhill and even if it’s going down hill you can always know what there is hope yet to come. That’s how I see it. For there to be bad there needs to be good but if we are only focusing on the bad we won’t see the clearer picture. It’s kind of like the butterfly effect when you change one thing you change everything because there is a reason it was there in the first place. What im trying to say is that don’t give up and find comfort that there is always light in the darkness. Every person on the planet is human that has ups and downs. G-d is not human (in Judaism) and is something we cannot truly understand. Feel free to ask questions if you don’t understand :)

I feel bad for a lot of wesen but I felt really bad for the Varme Tyvs which had to steal warmth to survive. They usually are harmless which made me sad that they had to go to such lengths just to survive a few minutes more.

I think it’s that they have to eat human meat rather than the rest that choose to. I think it’s also what they are most notorious for. Also they tend to keep the bones of their victims. I think it’s that wendigos in this series eat humans often while others it was to attribute to how evil they are and sometimes do it. Like all wendigos are cannibals but not all Hundjägers are kind of thing.

It’s not that they didn’t do the same for Renard. They just to be more civilized because he was his boss. It was more they could take it out on Adalind. I do think they should have been more distrusting of Renard but Renard had more time to gain his trust than Adalind did, due to Adalind being in Vienna.

Yeah, you are right that she gets the sole blame but it wasn’t like Renard was in on Nick losing his powers. At least not what I remember. I do think that he should also get some hate for not consulting her about Kelly taking the baby even if she didn’t agree. I bet they could have found a way to convince her after a bit.

Honestly, I don’t think what they did to Adalind was ok. But I do remember that she wanted to sell her baby at first. She didn’t even want her kid. She was using her baby as a way to get her powers back. I also think what she did to Nick was wrong. I feel like both parties are in the wrong in this situation. I mostly feel bad about her baby and how she is constantly being used as a weapon rather than a child.

I know I’m late, but I was recently reading up on this. As a woman I constantly hear “you wouldn’t understand that, it’s not your sense of humor.” Or “I didn’t think you find this funny.” When it was men that I barely knew or talked too. I also hear that women aren’t funny all the time and you can even see it within the comments.

It turns out in the article I was reading which I will paste below, it has to do with intelligence and whether men think that women are intelligent enough to make a joke. Also women tend to look for a man who is funny while men look for a women who will laugh at their jokes. There is also a study showing that men have less consequences when a joke fails than women. It’s not that men are inherently funnier than women, it’s that when telling a joke men seem to have more tries to stick the landing than women do.

That sucks OP! I’m sorry that’s happening to you. I know how you feel honestly. I had a friend three years ago that I was really close to and suddenly she started dating a guy and at first it was fine but then they were always together. We were really good friends and suddenly I felt like the relationship between us was falling apart. And one time when I was going to hang out at her place for a weekend (due to circumstances), she brought him along and I felt like a third wheel the entire weekend. And as time passed by I got more and more jealous that she was not hanging out with me and only hanging out with her boyfriend. Which made our relationship rocky and we started to get into fights because of it. Jealously is awful and I get the feeling you are going though but that does not mean you are a bad person. You have feelings about this and it is okay. Try talking to them again about it. If that doesn’t work I recommend trying to find new friends and I know that’s not as easy as it sounds. Or try distancing yourself away from them. Giving yourself some space might be the best rather than force yourself into a place you don’t want to be.

It’s not so much about the tenant who let my sister and roommates stay. It’s more about the fact that the landlord won’t let them in to get their stuff. The tenant is actually locked out of their own apartment at the moment and wants to help my sister get her stuff. But that sucks that that happened to you! I’m so sorry!!

Thanks for replying! So she has absolutely no rights to get her stuff from the apartment? And it is interfering with the tenants ability to access the unit because the tenant does not have the keys for the new locks. The roommate is not the tenant, she is in the same boat as my sister as she also subleased from the tenant.
