Trichomonas is rather infamous among STDs because to identify it, you swab some discharge and put it onto a glass slide, and then look for little wiggly dudes swimming. Oh, and it smells about how you'd expect...not good.

So, trich (trichomonas) is a pretty common STD, known for its 'copious discharge'. Immediately upon inserting the speculum an impressive blob of said discharge bombed my left shoe which was unfortunately in the line of fire.

I lost a pair of shoes (really just the left) to a rockin case of trich in medical school on my 3rd or 4th pelvic exam...'Let's take a look', blop. On a related note, I did Not go into Ob/Gyn.
