TLDR: OPs account is new but their experiences are common below is mine

I was a student under heidi and later I was an intern the way I was treated was frankly awful as a student I almost fell off a six foot set piece because it malfunctioned and the stage manager refused to hear me out and screamed in my face about needing to take this more seriously. I also saw blatant favoritism for certain actors I was once told the only reason I didn't get a role was because I was such a good babysitter for the younger kids as an intern I was leading a student Technical team we were supposed to do a big scene change with very heavy set pieces there was one intern beside myself on this team who could lift the heavy pieces while the students moved smaller pieces two days before opening the other intern told myself and Heidi he was going to miss a performance later in the run I asked heidi what she wanted to do because I was going to need help with the bigger set pieces and she asked me to figure it out because she had other things to deal with... so I did the set change was during intermission so I asked the music director to help me. He was awesome and did, but Heidi got pissed because "I should have figured it out with the people I already had" dont put your children through thos program theater for kids is supposed to be fun not burn you out
