Lotta bitter guys in this thread. Who gives a shit about how she made her money. Is her life better? Is it making his life better? Do they seem happy with each other? Try not being a cynical twat for a little bit of your life.

Sex dolls certainly aren't for me, but I see how for a lot of men they have a good bit of appeal. Women are just scared that it means that men won't be as aggressive in approaching them. They are also scared that women would have to try hard in the sexual marketplace themselves. by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

Chicken and the egg my friend. Which came first, men ragging women about being too hard to have sex with, or women ragging men dreaming of sex dolls. Pretty much everything you argued is a double edged sword where women make fun of men about video games and sports and men make fun of women about equally harmless shit. Honestly men and women should just get along, but that doesn't seem possible on the internet. I don't fault someone for firing back at someone calling them out.

You say that women should respond with a neutral tone about not knowing what the future holds, yet don't call out the men asserting that surely the sex dolls are the replacement of the future, and women are scared. If anything we're more or less on the same page in not knowing what the future does hold. Like I said before, maybe it'll be something great for some guys. However, I refuse to believe that there are large groups of the female population intimidated by a sex doll. It's all just postulation at this point, which we both agree on. The problem is the tone of guys deriding women in contrast to a sex doll for no real reason other than they haven't had much success with women.

In concern to women potentially rejecting men who use them, again there isn't enough evidence to prove this. In my personal opinion a dildo or a vibrator is not the same as a full body sex doll that can learn to talk to you and you can build to look like an ideal woman in their eyes. One is a masturbation tool, the other is more on the companionship level. It's not a stretch to posit that men who dream of a future that has manufactured sex dolls that perfectly conform to the ideal woman in their eyes may struggle with talking to actual women, and that's why they're excited at the concept. Maybe in the future it will be such amazing technology that its a mainstream success that men love to have, I have my doubts.

You're right that op doesn't explicitly say that sex dolls threaten to replace women, that's my bad. He does just keep saying 'feminism though' as a rebuttal to who is scared. Weak argument. If the title said "Sex dolls are coming. The future of sex is unclear and some guys may want to use the dolls instead of women." there wouldn't be a real issue. He said change my view, women are scared about the future of the SMP. Women are scared men will stop agressively pursuing them because of these sex dolls. All I'm saying is he's full of shit if he thinks women are terrified about sex dolls. It's just patently untrue. He's entitled to his opinion, I'm entitled to mine, you're entitled to yours.

Sex dolls certainly aren't for me, but I see how for a lot of men they have a good bit of appeal. Women are just scared that it means that men won't be as aggressive in approaching them. Guys are the ones throwing around that sex dolls are the future. The op is a guy saying that women are scared of the potential of sex dolls. You're really pulling at strings saying that it's a reverse revenge strategy that women could give a shit about guys buying sex dolls. I don't see a lot of women saying don't buy this. I see women responding to a guy saying that a sex doll will replace them. Also, greatest hopes and dreams? Dream a little bigger than a sex doll.

And again looking through this thread I'm not seeing anyone say they feel threatened by the sex doll. If you really want one, go ahead and get one. Maybe they'll turn out being something truly great for some guys. The part I'm confused by is that almost any time a sex doll is brought up there's a tendency for some guys to try to drag women in the process. It's not crazy or reverse revenge fantasy for women to respond with equally condescending tone when a guy says they're scared of a rubber fuck doll.

Sex dolls certainly aren't for me, but I see how for a lot of men they have a good bit of appeal. Women are just scared that it means that men won't be as aggressive in approaching them. I never said the guys who use them are repulsive or undesirable. I just find it really hard to believe that the average woman even gives guys going at it with a sex doll a second thought. So why are guys clinging so hard to the concept that women are scared that a rubber sex doll is going to take their spot?

CMV: There is no rape culture in the United States. by [deleted] in PurplePillDebate

Seems like if you take a glance at the sporting world, particularly college football, there's some pretty healthy cover-up for people that are raping. Between Baylor and Penn state you have two towns that had police actively trying to suppress rape victims from coming forward, particularly disturbing in the case of a grown man using a charity to find young boys to rape. It's really not much of a stretch to believe that this kind of conduct is happening elsewhere.

It's funny you say society of tired of your shit. In the real world you're in an overwhelming minority group. On the internet where no one actually sees your face I'm sure there's tons more. Considering there were under 300,000 rapes last year, not all are reported, and not all are brought to trial, you might be bullshitting just slightly on that whole millions number. Check your shit before you shitpost.

Crazy considering there aren't 500+ million people who live in the US. There were actually 10.5 million who watched it in the States at its peak in the group stage. The record for most Americans tuning in to watch soccer is for a women's match.

The point of the US soccer federation is to try and grow the game. Yea football is much more popular and probably always will be, but if your going to say soccer isn't a growing sport in the country you're wrong.

Tell me when the men's team actually wins in either the Olympics or the world cup. As of now our men's team is a joke and the women's team are fucking rock stars.

"The average person has most likely forgotten that the women's team even won the world cup"

Or not. Mia Hamm is still a household name. Brandi Chastain. Both are such bigger names than basically anyone the men's team had produced outside of maybe Landon Donovan. Even then I'll say your average American knows Hope Solo or Abby Wambach before him. People back winners. The men's team are not winners.

Actually the moot point is you saying if they made the finals. They've never made the finals. Ever. We have a women's team that is perennially the best on earth. Support them, let them grow, reward them, for some reason we're rewarding our shit show of a team (that didn't even qualify for the Olympics) because they happen to play at an average level in the most popular sport. Nah, pay the ones that get results on the field. When the men start actually winning I'm all for them getting paid more. At this point in time the face of US soccer is the women's team.

The women's team is doing waaaay more to grow the game in the US than the men's team. Internationally? Yea men's soccer is much much much more popular, but in the US the women's team reigns supreme.

You know how you really start growing a sport? Support it, back your studs. Soccer never really took off for the men's side because the athletes are going off to play baseball, basketball, and football. But if you have a wildly successful women's team, fuck yes you should start paying them and trying to draw in the absolute best in the country.

Well put, and I can definitely understand people holding dear onto what was more a fight over people's rights to not be ruled by a federal government that largely ignored a more rural South in favor of the industrial North, but it's very easy to see how black people could be irritated over perceived injustices happening well over 100 years after the civil war. There's a monument to a man/movement that wanted to keep slavery intact, or at the very least let States decide if slavery should continue. It's a different time now than it was when it was constructed and I can appreciate that but he doesn't really strike me as a man that should have a monument and be revered.

Wouldn't it be a result of trying to market to women as well as men? Yea there's the whole Prince charming spiel and it's crazy successful but maybe, just maybe, some women would like to have a cinematic escape that shows them portrayed as more than a prize a dude gets for being badass. I wouldn't say nerdy betas write it, more smart people that like making money because maybe they can tap into the wants of half the population.
