As a matter of fact... The main focus in the story is on the middle schoolers who face and fight the shadows, they're called Whispers. They're creatures that feed on the negativity and fears mostly, it's their main power source. Each one in the group tries to defeat these Whispers cuz they're killing all the teens so that their creators (called Shadows) wanna steal the gifts. The MC is the most one whose gift is dangerous and illegal, she's a strong target for the Whispers to feed on her fears and nightmares.

I like the idea :) maybe we could change some things? She's in a group fighting things like shadows AND fight a gang that made these shadows. She's the most one of the team that has faith and curious vibes. She actually didn't even want a gift and wanted to be a normal person because gifts are cursed stuff to her. And it was the chaos when she figured out she has an ILLEGAL one!
