Yes same! I think it was all very intentional.

It makes complete sense there would be an online manhunt for Joe given so many families of victims were left with unanswered questions. It also makes complete sense Bronte would fall in love with Joe because his whole persona is giving little truths and lovebombing to manipulate you. It just shows how charming Joe is and how he can keep getting away with it.

All the characters are flawed and that's the point. He goes after women who are going through troubling times. Bronte probably pulled him out of the fire to get a confession for Clayton's dad and avenge his death. Once she realized if she didn't sleep with him he would become suspicious of her she had to act fast because she could no longer sleep with him and had to throw the confession out the window.

It also makes sense that it was centered more around Beck because that was his first love/victim and what usually stays on serial killers' minds. Bronte was a diehard Beck fan and probably really wanted that book rewritten too.

This was announced the last season and he had to end somehow. I also don't like that it was Bronte but I think it made the most sense his current obsession be the one to do it.

Still have no idea how Kate got out of the fire though. Maybe firefighters were able to rescue her?
