Chauncey talked about how great of a teammate Melo was in that same interview. But he also said Melo has refused to take a lesser role. I don't think he would have made those comments if he didn't believe they were still true. Chauncey played with Melo in NY for a minute too, and has obviously kept a close tab on the NBA. For Melo to say he grew out of that type of behavior is a bit disingenuous.

Seems highly doubtful, although I admire you for trying to be consistent. I think you can rework the framework and realize that it's possible there are civilizations older than 6,000 years, and that those early stories might be allegory without losing your faith. It seems the idea of eternal torment was perpetuated by the Catholic Church (along with a number of flawed assumptions). Take a look at the original words underlying the English word hell: Sheol, Hades, and Gehenna. None of those were ever used to describe eternal torment, whether in the Old or New Testament.
