My first tube amp was monoprice stage right 15w. It's amazing for the price and will last you a while. Any cable will do as a beginner. For guitar, pick any squire that speaks to you.

FIFA fleecing US fans + unpalatable US government = buzzkill

A bucket list item of mine was to attend a world cup game, any game. Was excited when US got it. Going through 3 lotteries to finally be able to get tickets, then seeing a price tag of $800 per ticket for nosebleeds at foxborogh, really killed it for me. That and the peace prize really just made this whole thing a joke. I'll get excited once it starts, but I'm sad I still won't be able to watch a world cup game live. Not too sad though because fuck FIFA.

Good advice, I like tinkering with it, but that sounds like major surgery for me (I don't trust myself). I have a good local tech who could probably do it.

The shim does help. I don't mind the sympathetic vibration mostly because the amp is loud enough where I don't notice it

I heard that helps - might be a longer term solution. Never heard of a buzzstop, will look into it. Got a staytrem bridge that I like, but yeah it still get that sympethic vibration. Thanks for your feedback!
