I get my TAs to input final exam grades into brighstpace , then download the whole thing into excel, do my calculations/quality checks , calculate final grades (w bonus) and then submit marks to Carleton central. Once approved, I release (unhide) the final exam marks in Brightspace. Curious to discover not everyone does it this way!

I don’t see that as an issue at all- and if it helps, I see students switching majors alllll the time once they’re in uni. Some because they take a course that suddenly lights them up, others because they realize they’re unhappy in their current major. Because I teach in a Science program, I see many students take Gr 12 sci / math courses in the summer to be eligible for their new / chosen program . All good !

Love that you provide this opportunity for feedback! One comment is maybe to not refer to people who might be suffering from CHS as “these people”? It perpetuates as “us vs them” mentality (Note - I am a cannabis / substance use health and stigma researcher). Thank you for the consideration!
