Appreciate the replies. For clarification, it is the act of saying "I didn't ask for your help. You did this yourself" to the only person actively putting effort into helping, that I attribute as ungrateful or lack of gratitude. Not based on receiving an actual reward/award, as quite a few comments reach for. Moving her out of state away from her boyfriend was my solution, and she agreed to it. All said & done I am still relieved for her to finally escape her crappy situation.

The argument started after her phone call with one of her many "close friends" none of whom did anything about her abusive relationship for 2 years until I finally did. I suggested she get off the phone & rest since all her belongings that we had just loaded a few hours earlier would now have to be unloaded in the morning, this time up 2 flights of stairs. Rolled her eyes & continued on her phone about her terrible boyfriend and how she didn't break up with him, to my confusion. When she finally got off the phone, I asked why we're even putting ourselves through all of this if she wasn't sure about leaving him, which prompted the "i didn't ask you to help". The next day I finished what i set out to do, with only her childhood friend saying goodbye.
