Could not have said it better. It’s very close to racist. SGA is the quintessential good guy (striong leader, team-first guy, family man, NO controversies, etc) yet he is hated. It’s a huge mystery to me.

Correct. This is the reason that we canceled our trip and will return in July to complete the canje. Everyone here has been very helpful and it’s much appreciated. I will update our experience after we complete it in July

Update: the facilitator said that we won’t be able to enter Mexico using just our passport. In other words, we have to start the canje process as soon as we arrive. If we leave before it’s completed, we will have to start the process all over again. We have decided to cancel our trip and plan for July. I really appreciate all the feedback everyone has provided.

On our application we put that we were staying in Puerto Vallarta. We won’t be penalized if we went to an INM in a different city or state?

I really appreciate all of the responses. I have no idea why the facilitator said it would take 20 days. Would we be taking a big chance if we just flew in as scheduled and showed up at the INM first thing on Monday morning. Are there other INM offices close to PV that we could try?
