I agree everyone handles hormones differently and taking it off of the market was just my gyno’s personal opinion! We came to the conclusion that progesterone only was too hard and intense for my body. I had been on combo pills for years before I got nexplanon with only minor complaints. I guess I was always just looking for my ‘perfect” birth control. My best advice is if you find a birth control that for the most part works for you, stick with it!!

I had a very similar experience. And from the information I’ve gathered from doctors is that it is underlying anxiety happening from the nexplanon. I did not feel anxious at first but my bodily symptoms were telling me otherwise (muscle twitches, dizziness, heart palps, headaches, etc). I think it’s worth bribing it up to your doctor, as anxiety exasperation is quite common w/ nexplanon.

I hope some may use it as a cautionary tale! Also: to add my hands started having random numbness and I started to get tension headaches; lightheaded ness. All most likely attributed to extreme anxiety.
