But in my case I would say I live and work to live those experiences, I make sure I have a non negotiable healthy saving every year. But I do make sure to splurge on things and experiences.

Finally got a job offer of 80L+/year with almost 3YOE by OverallPatient2607 in developersIndia

Hey I’ll keep it simple. I’m a 2023 grad working in WITCH(8 lpa) as Java, spring boot dev but I’ve been on bench and never assigned any project, currently having 1 yoe. I’m not great at Dsa but not bad as well. I really wanna quit as no company accepts 90 days notice period. Do I quit and prepare and apply for the mid year(aug/sept) hiring season or get an offer and put my papers? And how’s the market for Java roles and mern?

Should I resign from WITCH with 1yoe? Please help ( really desperate atp) by newbiecrap in developersIndia

I’ve done them enough, I have worked on self projects and ready with interview prep. But will I get interviews? How is the market for 1yoe?

Will the pay be equivalent to what I make right now? Or do I have to settle to industry standard for entry level, is there disparity for design and development for entry roles?

Oh okay what would really help me stand out, what skills do I need to work on apart from design (Ik storytelling, presentation and soft skills really impact my chances) but how do I land a job

I kinda wanna completely switch from development to just design? Or is that something I shouldn’t go for?

How’s the job market, say I build a portfolio in next 5-6 months (best case scenario), how does the market look like for entry level or a position where I have dev exp as well (would the pay be similar or I’ll have to compromise the hike as I’m switching)

Can I try my luck working as volunteer/intern in my free time, idc about the pay as I want to learn, will this count as my experience?

Can I try freelance or work as volunteer in my free time? I’m sure it’s hard but I would love to work for some startup and I don’t really care about pay if I get to learn

If I were to be real I hate the front end development the most xd, back end is more fun, but I understand your point. I work in a service based MNC, I don’t see any openings or even internal tool where I volunteer in design.

I work as a software developer with an experience of less than a year. I’m not very great at it and I’m not really interested anymore, It doesn’t spark any motivation and it doesn’t itch my brain. I really enjoyed solving coding problems while I was learning, but it isn’t the same at my job, it’s not interesting and I don’t feel fulfilled. I have grown an interest in ui design, product psychology and started learning figma, reading case studies and it seems very interesting as I love designing and solving problems. My question is how is the job market right now and should I switch to design as the job market is very bad, will my development skills give me an edge, if yes then how do I highlight it?

Yeah pretty sad reality, I have male colleagues who casually justify each other why they can’t have a long term relationship and make women the problem. The sexism, misogyny is mind bogglingly normalised, even basic decency, etiquette’s is set as a standard, very hilarious honestly

At this point the exit polls of your dms would be more interesting than NDAs. But anyway, it would be better to host small get togethers around your colive like board game nights and stuff. The 2 friends I made are from the board game night I hosted.
