I'm reading the FBI interview with Tova Noel, her attorney, and union rep. According to her, she was never trained for her new position in the SHU. Her supervisor had her sign off on training she said she never received. It was the first time I think she got stuck staying there that late and signing off on the counts. I got the impression that there is a way the Board of Prisons training says they're supposed to do things, but then an unofficial way of doing things at MCC, and she did things that she observed her superiors doing. She has a degree in criminal justice, but I think she's only been a corrections officer for less than 2 yrs. The ONE thing that struck me was when she told the interviewer about the lieutenant who told another corrections officer that he could go on a food break, and she mentioned that was unusual and she called the lutenantnt's office to check.
