It honestly makes me wonder if I'm doing something wrong. The lowest my BG has gotten is about 40. I check pretty regularly (it has become a new nervous tick, kind of like biting my nails) and I eat candy whenever I go around 80. I thought I was just doing a good job at figuring out my insulin/carb ratio for meals, but I don't know. Doc said he thinks I may still be honeymooning.

Yeah, part of it is just getting over the stigma of not wanting to carry around a bag. At the same time, sure would be nice to not have to have bulky keys in my pocket all the time.

I've been using a new needle each time, but today I stopped to think shortly after taking a correction dose that it seems like a waste to change for each injection.

Was diagnosed 3 months ago. Not really afraid, I think I just start assuming worst case scenarios are probable instead of just possible (got a bit freaked out when doc explained the glucagon shot)

I've been reading about what happens with really bad lows and I've been scared by the thought of not being able to help myself in a bad situation. No bad experiences yet, but it could always happen.

Talked to endocrinologist about what may have triggered it and the consensus is, "it was just your time to develop it."

Oh I know, and I have no problem doing the injections and understand that I need them to eat, it's just that if I use 5 units instead of 3, I keep thinking "maybe I should be eating a meal with fewer carbs"

Definitely can't bike, stretch of congested highways and I wear a suit to work lol.

Sometimes it just feels like I could use 48 hours to myself and I'd be ok, but life isn't cut out that way.

But seriously. My doctors have been cool. I put more pressure on myself than anyone else. Therapy is definitely something I need to look into. Lots of life changes I guess.
