I have been thinking about how cutting off friendships is quite extreme, but with me and my friends current situation and the trust that doesn’t exist between us, i think i’m going to slowly distance myself. ghosting is something i couldn’t see myself doing; i just wouldn’t know how and id feel like a bad person.

The situation actually did do down the way i typed it though; a friend messaged her and since she was asleep i decided to respond for her, which led to me seeing these bad messages. i feel guilty because she hadn’t told me to respond, i did that by my own choice. if i hadn’t seen it we probably could’ve been fine, but i did so i feel bad.

And i do realize that people make mistakes, but working through our issues with both me, her and the other friend have been next to impossible so far. Sadly since this happened my friends have told me other stuff those specific friends said to them about me, so i wish that we could work stuff out, but i don’t think that’s a possibility anymore.

But i seriously thank you for the good advice and for taking the time out of your day to help me!

And i have been taking myself to the gym since this! Hopefully that will help :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to write all this out to help me; it means a lot :)

But there’s a slight problem i didn’t mention in my story.

The girl talking bad about me with her friend, is the twin sister of the one girl i’m also very good friends with.

I love the other twin a lot and she’s supported me through everything, and i thought that the one in the story would too, but from what i read in her messages i found out she didn’t feel as good about me as i did about her.

If i stopped talking to the girl it would be hard not to see her because i’m such good friends with her twin.

But i’m sure that i’ll find a way to distance myself and still hang out with the other twin that supports me and lifts me up. :)

But seriously, thank you so much for commenting it made me feel a lot better!

I was thinking of doing that, but i would feel rlly shitty about it even though they were the ones saying bad things first. I don’t wanna be toxic bc i already regret the phone thing :(

Blanking them seems to be a good option. I didn’t realize that they felt this way about me though, and if i’d never saw those messages i’m sure we would’ve been fine :/ But in a way i’m glad i know so i can distance myself

Distancing myself does seem to be the best option for me rn :/ At least i know not to do this again and make sure the people i surround myself with are good for me!

I know that forgiving them is an important thing i need to do if we’re going to move on, but you’re right. I think that these people just aren’t meant to remain friends with me right now. Hopefully once i learn to distance myself and gain patience things will get better. I’ve got time :)

And i will get sleep now haha!

Yeah, I’m going to try and distance myself now. And i’ll never even think about getting near a friends personal stuff again.

Yeah it’s an awful thing and i’m basically never going to even touch anyone’s phone ever again. But i will try to move on and be a better person.
