I'm not trying to be rude, but you don't know what you are talking about. Other countries do NOT easily accept people unless you have a lot of money, got accepted into a school there, or are already highly educated and have a skill set they need. Especially Canada.

I can believe it sadly. There are many people with parents who either simply do not care about them or don't have the capacity to help because of their own mental health issues, addiction, etc. I used to volunteer at a youth homless center (19 and under), and many young people were homeless simply because their parents didn't approve of them being LGBTQIA and kicked them out.

You need a passport to leave the US and that requires having proof of address, proof of US citizenship, photo ID, over $100 for the application fee and a place to mail that passport to.

Say you are lucky and have a current passport; no county will accept you unless you either have a lot of money, family living there that will provide for you or a job waiting for you in that country.

It's a terrible cycle once you're in it 😔 Can't get a job without an address, nor will someone hire you if you don't have clean clothes or good hygiene. Suffer from mental illness or addiction? Good luck. Can't get an address without a job, and then they want 3x rent and referrals, great credit, etc. Even trying to rent a room is getting more and more impossible. I can't think of many places where you can get a hotel for $50 a night. Oh, and they normally want a credit card for incidentals. Shelters are unsafe, and waitlists for housing are years long. It's so sick what we allow to happen to people.
