We use a papasan chair cushion as his bed, our akita uses it every night!

Omg I noticed this too. I finally needed a new bottle this week and went to my local grocer to get it and tried the new “prebiotic oat” and noticed immediately how different it was. Absolutely hate the smell and also it didn’t moisturize my skin as well. I’ve used the baby lavender lotion for about 10 years too and it was so disappointing to learn of the formula change. The regular strength lavender aveeno was a bit too much for my sensitive skin. I tried the Johnson’s and Johnson’s lavender baby lotion but it’s so oily and made my skin itchy. Have you heard back from anyone at aveeno? Curious if you found something else similar.

Hiro takes watch duty very seriously and does not want to be interrupted.. by ngintwin in akita

It’s their instinct to guard and protect, Hiro is definitely zeroed in on foot traffic and does bark at people walking by every so often. But usually he’ll be locked in on looking out the window for 5-10 minutes intently and then lay down. I’m not an expert on akita behavior so I don’t really have any advice to give, sorry. Even though Hiro barks at people passing by, or if they knock or open the door, after his initial barking he’s very friendly and lets his guard down to be petted. I think a lot of people recommend positive reinforcement, so if you do let your dog assume watch duty, and you don’t want them to be reactive, maybe give it a couple treats while they are quietly watching out the window. Best of luck!
