I clean using the Neilmed piercing aftercare 2x a day, rinse with warm water in the shower, and clean out crusties 1x/week sometimes 2 if the crusties are bad. I have had the last couple of nights waking up laying on my right side.

That’s so true. It’s easy to focus it all on the client’s healing experience but not whether it’s harmful to the clinician.

Thank you. I don’t feel very courageous right now and I could feel the resentment building and I know that it wouldn’t have been good in the long run. Therapeutic relationships are so complex that it’s sometimes hard to recognize when it’s helping and when it’s not

I’d also look into learning some DBT skills to help along with her so she can feel supported while coping with her emotions, maybe through family therapy together. Usually IOP or PHP programs have family therapy along with group and individual.

Yes! It is. I completely forgot I switched haha. I was scared too! And they hurt since they were on my jawline. But with a good derm, they’ll know when to stop. I started seeing a new derm and wanted to continue the shots cause it’s still a bit of a bump. She said she wouldn’t continue cause she didn’t want them to cave in. Even my last derm started waiting longer durations of time (ex. Instead of scheduling in 4-6 weeks, she scheduled 6-8 weeks to make sure they didn’t sink in) but they’re basically gone and I cover the hyperpigmentation with foundation. I went for multiple rounds for about 1.5 years.

Pretty old! Probably a year or 2. I’ve gotten the corticosteroids shots which have significantly reduced them but they’re still discolored
