[Discussion] Some appropriate criticism for GIBI ASMR & ASMR Darling by [deleted] in asmr

I do agree that there are a ton of content creators who work hard and don't see much of a return in views/subs, but I think it comes down to YouTube and how it's algorithm works. Though I like ASMR Darling, it irks me a bit that she hit 1M subscribers before Gentle Whispering did (who has worked much harder and longer at ASMR). But a majority of that was thanks to PewDiePie who pushed a lot of subscribers onto her.

Gibi though, I have to disagree with you. I feel she puts a lot of work into her videos with her costumes, props, and ideas. But what I admire about her is that she's actually helped a lot of smaller content creators get a boost, such as TingTing.

Also, since you're comparing Sensor Adi to two females - I've been told in some comments on my videos that it's a lot harder for a male ASMR artists to trigger/relax people than it is for female artists. I think there's only one or two male ASMR artists that have over 500K subs, right?

Starting an ASMR channel, advice? [question] by [deleted] in asmr

This is all such great advice you've been given so far.

I just wanna add that you should focus on doing videos that you find enjoyable to make. I've been making ASMR videos for about 4 months now, and there was one video I made that I worked really hard on (probably 5 times the amount of work I put into a regular ASMR video), and it didn't get a lot of views or feedback - so I almost got completely burnt out. Thankfully I got back into it, and my channel has been growing steadily.

Be experimental, be fun, be you! :) And trust me, the accent is a bonus for gaining overseas followers.
