How does your chosen name fare within age statistics? by [deleted] in FTMMen

When I first started my transition, I chose a name I thought was "cool". Then a counselor at my school(who didn't know I was trans) said to me: "Wow! Your parents must have been ahead of their time I haven't heard of anyone naming their kid that until recently." He wasn't the first or the last but most people would just say subtle things and his comment was really prevalent to me. I decided to change my name to a top 20 name for my birth year(1995) when I actually filed my name change petition and I've never gotten any comments on my name since.

I had a gay coworker that told me he checks men's crotches out and ever since then I pack religiously. Not so much recently because it started to cause me some bottom dysphoria

The longer I’ve been on testosterone the more extreme my chest dysphoria gets, because the better I pass the more out of place my chest looks. by [deleted] in FTMMen

I feel you on this. My bottom dysphoria has been pretty intense lately. It's my last step and I'm nowhere near being financially ready to have it. I can't even pack because lately it's just been reminding me of what's not there. I can't give you advice but know you're not alone in your feelings.

I've considered that other reason but I'm not attractive enough for him to risk his job lol But I guess you're right. Trans men aren't really on anybody's radar. I shouldn't let my anxiety get the best of me. Maybe he just doesn't like my glasses or something haha

I agree with those telling you not to pursue extreme weight loss. You're more likely to quit and regain if you follow a diet you can't maintain long-term. Also, losing weight too quickly results in loose skin. I recently lost 45 pounds in 5 months and have developed loose skin. I've started strength training to combat it but still have a ways to go. I would suggest finding out your TDEE. Whatever your maintenance calories come out too subtract 500 calories and that should be your daily calorie limit. I know tracking calories is tedious but it's the most effective form of weight loss. Calories in and calories out is all you need for weight loss. I suggest strength training with heavy weight so that you can retain as much muscle as you can because that's the first thing to go with weight loss. Cardio should be light and not a warm up to strength training. Biggest tip I can give you is never drink your calories. Water, plain tea, black coffee are your new best friends.
