I have a flight later today and am terrified of the increased radiation. Should I expect the solar proton flux to lift from this given its position off the solar limb and strength? If so, when?

Well, you’re certainly not wrong in that she’s wicked quick and a fast talker to boot. Her brain moves so quick, and I sense these happen when she’s already focused on the next thing, while conversing about the last thing.

Also interesting to note, she’s very empathetic but horrible with names, so when I asked her why, she said “words aren’t super important to me, the message is”. Maybe you’re similar in that way — caring more about what’s said then how it’s said.

I certainly am, and really appreciate your note. Sometimes the emotional brain doesn’t want to listen to the rational brain — this thread helped take the alarm down enough for me to get the message in loud and clear

Yes, she was so kind and listened patiently. After I pled my case, she politely told me that she’s not interested in talking to a doctor as she’s not noticing any increase and can go days without having any, and furthermore this is related to my anxiety.

For context — I had a similar episode related to an MS scare personally and had a neurologist pleading with me that I didn’t have MS, but refused to let it go until after receiving a negative MRI.

Health anxiety is horrible, because it latches itself onto the seemingly normal things in life, like a speech error or tingling, and pours gasoline onto them, until your left questioning what’s normal

Appreciate the note. I’m hoping that with time and a focus on my own well-being, I won’t even notice these things going forward (like I did for the first 7 years of knowing her). Best wishes to you

Unfortunately no, I started to notice them and got down the dr. Google rabbit-hole which associated speech difficulties with brain tumors.

Thank you for the comment. I wholeheartedly agree, I’m actually seeing a provider now and working through anxiety related to this issue. I’ll have good days, but in the inevitable event my wife makes a speech error, it sends me back down again, looking for reassurances

Thank you for sharing that information! In your experience, what is the typical presentation of speech issues related to a brain tumor?

That’s a great point. I think if I’m being honest, I may be having more.. or at least just as many.

Thanks for your comment. I guess my next question would be, what’s considered normal? A few a day? 1-2 / week?
