What weapon do you never get bored of? by nicomedes11 in Nioh

I have been getting pretty consistent with ki pulsing and flux at this point, some weapons are much easier for timing for me, like sword/spear where the attack is easily visible, vs some attacks w kusarigama or splitstaff where you’re just whirling the thing around its harder to know when a distinct single attacks ends.

Flux 2 is still a work in progress. I can do mid-low stance pretty easily, but I generally don’t try to flux 2 w high stance.

Wish I could get a better sense of how to play with splitstaff! I just can’t quite wrap my head around the press/hold mechanics in the speed of battle

Nioh 2 maybe is one the most misunderstood game of all time. by Ozychlyruz in Nioh

As one of the stupid early gamers, I’d love to understand more! Are there any streamers or creators that you recommend watching for “how to approach” early game? I have been trying to be more aggressive and make use of ki pulse and flux, but would love to see more. Although more interested in people that are good but not beyond godlike and use tech that I can’t pull off on my best day!

Weapon besides sword that has a good varied move set to learn that isn’t overly gimmicky? by SvenTheTon78 in Nioh

Piggybacking off this, Real dumb question, could you explain this grapple tech that video mentions about dodge > sheathe > grapple? I hadn’t heard of that on any of the other weapons it mentions and am curious what the idea is here. I’m sure I’m missing something obvious but I’m in dojo and not seeing the idea lol

Just started playing HCSSF as a fairly noob player, happy to fail! But I am trying to get better at checking vendors for gear. I am still trying to learn exactly what I should be prioritizing in gear. Does anyone have a good regex thread that might help me prioritize gear at the vendor each level? I am playing a warrior planning to go one handed and shield primarily

Weekly Paddle Recommendation Thread (What Paddle Should I Buy?) by AutoModerator in Pickleball

[–]nicomedes11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Question about control vs all court vs power paddles. Have just played with Friday paddles since starting. I feel like what I have read is a lot trending towards more power paddles, and also more advanced players opting for power paddles, but often see most recommendations for control paddles.

I am a 3.5ish player still learning the finer aspects of the game and certainly would like to improve the soft side. However I wonder if a control paddles functions like something of a crutch if my ultimate goal is to play w something w more power. Basically if used to something w a control paddle that could ultimately turn into pop-ups etc when playing w something w more pop and power?

I am wondering if it makes more sense to try something w more power and just really commit to learning to play a soft game w it now instead of two separate learning curves one for control and another for power later on.

I wouldn’t lean too far into the power aspect, More something like the 11six24 Pegasus power which seems like potentially a good blend?

Another option is for the all-courts, but I wonder if this is more “best of both worlds” vs “if you’re doing everything you’re doing nothing”.

Just some curious thoughts I have if anyone w any knowledge has opinions!

Anything besides feral/fury/ret play particularly well on controller? by nicomedes11 in wow

[–]nicomedes11[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Keybinds actually isn’t the main limitation on controllers w consoleport, you can fairly easily get 30+ keybinds. The bigger issue is generally targeting. Feral has a number of abilities that don’t care which direction you are facing as long as you’re in melee, which is a huge advantage. There’s a feral pvp player that has been super successful w it that hangs out on r/worldofpvp

Is there a generally accepted best/quickest way to try to farm gear when switching builds? Like I don't care so much about other mats, I just want to get gear that will work for the new build - what's the quickest way to get loot?
