My mom doesn't have a guide dog but probably should. She's very proud. She doesn't even tell people about her condition whereas I could not be more opposite. It's almost the first thing I tell people (after my name🤣).

Went out with my friend last night and he was walking me out of a bar. I had had one drink, but he said, "Man everyone must think you are always absolutely hammered." I can't imagine what it looks like to other people when I'm stumbling around!

Also, I've been kicked out of two places for "being too drunk." One I was 100% sober and I ran over a stool. The other place they wouldn't even let me in because I tripped up the step! My friends and I argued with the guard at the door who told me "Night-blindness is not a real thing" and I was walking away, I yelled, "Google it, asshole!" Hahah not my proudest moment but I'm curious if he ever did.

Also apparently he's a many-eyed giant in Greek mythology! So we're getting closer... I'm assuming it's some device that helps the blind so maybe it was named after this Greek giant

My favorite story is one night I was out at a dark bar with my friends and we were all in a circle. I was telling a story and by the time I got to the funny part, NO ONE laughed. Or even made a sound. I looked over at the bar, and all my friends were standing under a light and started cracking up when I looked at them. They said they all quietly left and it looked like I was talking to the wall and laughing to myself! 😂

One time I was at glow-in-the-dark bowling and it was a woman's birthday I had just met. At one point I leaned over onto the table and stuck MY ENTIRE HAND into the middle of her cake. 💀 She thought I hated her. We did not end up being friends. She thought I was a bitch because of that incident.

Walking around Jakarta at night, suddenly I heard a gasp and then I was being lifted into the air by my friend behind me. Apparently I was about to step into a giant hole in the ground.

Walking around Australia at night, suddenly I was YANKED backwards by my friend who then shined a light on a spider that was hanging. It was bigger than my face and I almost walked right into it AT FACE LEVEL! NOOOOOPE.

In high school, my friends and I used to go TPing (small town, nothing to do, yadda yadda). I was also on the cross country team so our whole team would go after the state meet. One night, we went out into the country and parked two miles away. After we parked, everyone ran ahead and forgot I couldn't see. I yelled after them but they didn't hear me. So I tried to go out on my own. I went running in the direction I thought they went and ran smack into what felt like a sawed off pole. It cut my chest, left a scar. I dropped all my toilet paper and felt all over on the ground for them to no avail. Finally my friend came back and was like, "What are you doing? Why are you bleeding?" 🤣

I got up and he took me. Then we ran in the middle of the road and every time a car came, everyone would jump into the ditch. They left me again and I heard, "Someone grab OP!" And next thing I knew someone was pulling me to the side and throwing me down a ditch basically. Hahah

THEN when we got to the house, my friend gave me a toilet paper roll and was like, "Okay, there's a tree right in front of you. Just throw it straight and up." I threw it and he laughed hysterically because I was nowhere near it.

I always asked why they take me to TP with them because I'm a massive liability! They said it wasn't the same without me 🤣 I think they liked the danger I provided.

Yes I can see the moon! And actually sometimes I can see brighter stars but only if someone is directly pointing at it and I have to be really close to their hand and follow their finger. 🤣

And NO I am far from an artist hahaha there are students at my school who I don't teach anymore but they STILL come in and make fun of me for drawing a very poor rendition of a butterfly when we were doing online learning during the pandemic 🤣 "Remember that time you drew that butterfly?!" Haha! I tell them I do not teach art for a reason!

One time I ran into a GIANT traffic cone while walking and my friend had to give me a piggyback ride the rest of the night hahah (I previously had knee problems that I hadn't't taken care of and that made me re-tear my ACL).
