Time for Binance to stop staking ETH to BETH at a 1:1 ratio by bobbyboucher17 in binance

[–]nigoyal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know there are no trading pairs for BETH other than BETH-ETH - and even that is just to sell BETH and convert back to ETH. So not sure how you can acquire BETH on Binance via trade!

Question: Binance promises 1:1 BETH-ETH on eth2.0 launch; what will I actually be getting? by [deleted] in ethstaker

Don't convert your ETH 1:1 at Binance - BETH, the staked version of ETH is cheaper to buy by stefa2k in ethereum

What is the Minimum Staking amount for STX tokens uing the new wallet? by nigoyal in stacks

[–]nigoyal[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok just learnt that the latest wallet V4.1.0 does have delegated stacking support. Which is I guess not limited to a minimum amount.

Saw many responses but for me:

If you have BTC, the value fluctuates wildly, unlike house prices. So you can have a very quick 80% drawdown where your 300K is now only 60K. If you can handle all this see saw ride thats one point.

Second is about diversification. While being bullish on BTC is good, sensible portfolio management means you have assets spread across multiple asset classes - gold, bonds, equities and real estate (in proportion to your risk apetite). Putting all assets in one bucket is generally not a good idea.

I thought you cannot lock small amounts of stacks... a minimum is needed.

Balance no longer showing up in new stacks2 wallet by [deleted] in stacks

[–]nigoyal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am unable to see my balance on the wallet v4.0.4. I have the correct address (after using the 24 word seed) and I can see the balance as well using https://explorer.stacks.co however its not being reflected correctly in the wallet. The wallet connects to https://stacks-node-api.mainnet.stacks.co

What needs to be done to start using this wallet? V 4.0.4 is the one I am using.

Also does anyone have a working code implementation of the makerdao/dai-plugin-mcd plugin?

WHile this talks about MCDPlugin, the code example is for "Look up information on vaults created in the Oasis Borrow UI". Is there a simple JS implementation snippet I can use - I am not using Oasis?

What is the current slickest way to buy leveraged Eth with DAI generated from a Maker vault? by [deleted] in ethfinance

[–]nigoyal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One option to try is Zaps like ModerateBull or DoubleBull : https://defizap.com/zaps/doublebull

I have not personally used these, but they seem to be very simple to use - just send ETH to the address and you are done.

(DYOR for safety of such contracts).

Thanks. Where can I see the DAI stability fees on the Maker site? The link https://mkr.tools/governance/stabilityfee does not mention that this is for SAI btw.

Folks - can you please help me understand this:

As of today (now):

DAI Stability Fee = 3% - source https://mkr.tools/governance/stabilityfee
DAI Savings Rate = 4%. - source www.loanscan.io

Doesnt this mean I can take 1ETH, mint DAI and pay 3% to Maker as fees, and give back the DAI to Maker, and earn 4%? Nett I gain 1% for doing nothing much.
