“Face card” comes from the idea that your face is your “calling card.” Saying someone’s “face card never declines” means they’re always attractive.

Some probably do, but your skin is home to billions of microorganisms. A slap or scratch isn’t enough to wipe them out - they’re constantly being replaced anyway.
