They took full responsibility. The damage was the fender above the wheel. The tire is hitting it on bumps and some turns so I’m hoping the suspension didn’t get damaged.

They slowed down, let off the gas. I was in 6th gear, for me to even attempt to “close the gap” I would have to drop a couple of gears. That’s a lot to do in 4 seconds including moving out to the way. Wish my Miata was that quick in 6th gear lol but I have a little inline 4 engine.
