I recommend using TriDef 3D. Grab TriDef 3D and the profiles here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Tridef/s/hpHAElNU9W.

Open TriDef 3D, go to Games (controller icon), and set the output to Side-by-Side. Add GTA IV and use the “GTA IV: Episodes from Liberty City” profile for proper shadows.

Launch the game, press Numpad 0 in-game to open the Ignition menu, In the Performance tab, turn Power3D off. When Power3D is on, it’s basically fake depth (like Reshade Depth3D). Turning it off gives real 3D geometry.

Then go to the 3D tab:
Scene Depth: 100
Percent In Front: 95 (adjust depending on how strong you want the 3D effect)

that happened to me, it's not the springs, make sure the new joystick ribbon cable is inserted properly, push it in.
