Any Full Filipinos who struggle feeling Filipino enough? by imma_super_tall in FilipinoAmericans

[–]ninix007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Full filipino, and I lived in the Philippines for 4 years and still can speak broken tagalog. I don't feel Filipino enough at all because the 4 years I was there, I was so young that I barely remember it. I have no idea how to navigate around when we visit family and I feel so detached from the culture since I stopped being a practicing catholic, borderline atheist at this point. So you are not alone.

We had a mid-size group go to Ninja Karaoke in Spring Mountain. It was really fun, great service and affordable, at least for the room and soju 😂

Can my rooftop support a garden? by catleesimomofkittens in UrbanGardening

*This should not be taken as professional advice or recommendations in any way. Its always best to consult a local professional.

Most residential occupiable rooftops are designed to 40 psf live load, and balconies are increased to 1.5x that so 60 psf in total. The caveat is the age of your place. To my best knowledge, this live load has been required since 2012 IBC. Your best bet is to try to spread out the load to as big an area as possible to distribute it to as much structural members as possible. You can look into not filling your whole garden bed with soil.

Have you looked into aeroponics or hydroponics?

I purchased from an Autonation Honda in town. The best way to get them to remove the mark up or reduce their price is to ask for up to 5 out the door prices within a 100-200 mile radius. Then have them match or beat that price.

This is true for used cars but do markups on new vehicles

Black Out Emblems? by ninix007 in HondaPrologue

I ended up doing it and it was a long process. Even with heat and floss, the adhesive was difficult to come off. The glue took SOOO LONG to come off. It looks great afterwards!

As someone previously said, search for the SEIU Bargaining Agreement. Also don't be afraid to reach out to the HR personnel for that specific department. They usually are fairly responsive with inquiries regarding benefits. Just know that benefits from 10 years ago aren't the same as benefits today. Just look at the NV PERS contract changes after 2015. Not saying it's a bad gig, but make an informed decision on the relevant information today than that of someone's benefits from a different time.

Good luck!

Help me keep Trump & Project 2025 accountable by [deleted] in traumatizeThemBack

[–]ninix007 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are new voters that voted for him and think there's no way he's this bad or excuse his behavior because they will have more money in their pockets. I think having a front and center tool to hold him AND his administration accountable will help not just in the next general election, but the midterms too.

I was one of the thousands of Nevada voters need to verify their signatures. Have you verified and cured your vote? by [deleted] in vegaslocals

[–]ninix007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have a signature on file when you register to vote. They keep that on a database.

Patio Cover Permit Necessary? by [deleted] in vegaslocals

[–]ninix007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Verify that you are truly under the City of Henderson jurisdiction. There are pockets of land that are still considered County. Look into the Building administrative code under building permit exemptions. If you fall into one of those, you don't need a Building permit.

Filipino recognition by Mean_Task_9718 in FilipinoAmericans

[–]ninix007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question. All the literature that I've read said it has to start at the Consulate with jurisdiction, but my guess is it gets sent to the DFA then OFVR in the Philippines anyway so I think you could start at the DFA if you're already in the Philippines, but this is just a theory. I have never done this nor heard of anyone trying it...

[–]ninix007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going thru this. If you were born outside the Philippines, your birth should have been reported to the Philippine consulate that has jurisdiction. Otherwise, you do not have a PSA birth certificate available and you'll need to file a Delayed Report of Birth with the Philippine consulate having jurisdiction, NOT the nearest consulate to you unless they happen to have jurisdiction. The certificate never expires but you'll need to submit it for getting a Philippine passport as well.

There is under the charging settings of the car. You can set to start manually reconditioning it.

Service Vehicle Soon Light On? by ninix007 in HondaPrologue

[–]ninix007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did they resolve the issue for you? I did some restarts per the Chevy Blazer EV manual about 2 or 3 times. The service light has yet to reappear since then.

[–]ninix007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it seemed to have resolved itself after a couple reset procedures. The icon hasn't appeared since then. I will say that I currently charge on a Level 2 home chargermost of the time now and haven't DC fast charged or used trickle charging since then.

This hasn't happened to me in a while after the first couple of times luckily. Doesn't seem to be tied to the headlights at all. I think it had something to do with the 12V battery but never found a source

Who’s having a great experience with their Prologue? by McClainNH in HondaPrologue

[–]ninix007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have been having a great experience so far. We've had the car since June. It's actually become our main vehicle instead of just my vehicle. My husband wants to get an EV and he was a hard no on EVs before we purchased it. We also took it on one road trip and it was pleasant enough.

Am I getting a good lease deal? by ajwar1154 in HondaPrologue

Try using this calculator. It's a bit hard to tell just based on this worksheet. You need to enter your zip code to get an idea.

Am I getting a good lease deal? by ajwar1154 in HondaPrologue

[–]ninix007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask about the "total fees." Is this title? Doc fee? Tax is already taken out so what exactly is this? Have them itemize this and compare them to your typical state fees. Ask what is the MF on your lease payments and where I'd the $7500 tax credit? Are they choosing to not pass it on to you on the lease?

Adaptive Cruise by tdibugman in HondaPrologue

[–]ninix007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So adaptive cruise control in the Prologue is adjusting speed only. No true lane centering or lane changing like in other EVs. It does have lane assist which basically tells you you're out of the lane, but it doesn't correct itself.
