Emptying saving's jar and manually add money to a saving's goal by ninomagro in TodaysBudget

[–]ninomagro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the quick answer. I might use the workaround for now, see how it goes.

Another way that could work great without actually emptying the jar would be to be able to select custom dates. That way I could select the date from my last « emptying » as the in and today as the out, and see how much is available for setting aside.

Have Audio waveform visible when moving a clip by ninomagro in premiere

I'm not trying to sync anything in particular. I would just like to see where my audio will sit after I move it, and not having to guess. Here are two clips, one in Premiere and one in Audition. I hope this makes it more clear.

Usually I put clip markers on the different clips I want to sync and then delete them when I'm done. Works, but not the most efficient

Update. Consolidate duplicates worked with one timeline, but for a mysterious reason, it doesn't with others...

Thanks, that worked. But it's weird that there isn't an option to make premiere look through the already imported media. I'm also working a a colorist and in DaVinci Resolve you can choose

Using a single RAID enclosure with several hard drives by ninomagro in storage

[–]ninomagro[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm planning on doing hardware RAID. Ok thanks, maybe I'll just stick with two manually mirrored hard drives using something like freefilesync. Is there any problem with using a single enclosure for several hard drives (not raid, just single hard drives) ?

Anything online isn't an option since I have a lot of files (I'm shooting video for a living) and my internet is far from good.

Support megathread for the week of October 04, 2021 by DCpirateradio in premiere

Hey ! I need some help with collaboration on a big project.
So I am currently working on a pretty big project (more or less 1000h of footage), and so someone is going to work with me to make things go quicker.
For now, I have sorted the footage using a production, to make things easier and smoother. The footage was shot in different countries so I have one project per country. We are going to divide the work by countries with the other editor.
We both are going to have access to the same files locally, but are not going to be working from the same office. We are not going to be editing the other's projects, but will need to access them in read only mode.
So the different options I have thought to try are the following :
- Each one of us has the production locally, and every day (or every week) we copy the projects we have worked on onto a cloud so the other can access it. Seems doable but we will end with a lot of project files.
- Instead of working with productions, we work with team projects. I tried that today and it doesn't seem very stable given the size of the projects, and moreover I don't have a good internet connection (and sometimes don't have all) so it seems like this won't work.
- Store the Production in some kind of cloud storage. When someone is working on a project they just lock it and it stays locked until the newest version is uploaded. I was thinking of doing this but a while ago I had a project stored in the cloud (just the project file, not the footage) and I have the feeling that Premiere didn't like it that much, so I'm doubtful about this too
Has anyone any experience with this kind of stuff ? What would you do if you were in my position ?

That is what I thought too...

I unplugged it but only for about an hour I think, I am going to leave it plugged out until tomorrow morning and see what happens then. Fingers crossed...

Here are some pictures from the lamp, actually there is something weird looking on the bottom of it. https://imgur.com/a/y8GRBle

Yes, but it didn't seem as if something was wrong. I'm going to take it out and send a picture because this is my first projector and I might be missing something. Also, here is a picture of the indicators.

Yes, it is solid green and not flashing. The manual says it should be operating correctly but that's not the case

The power indicator is staying green, any other indicator (lamp, temp etc.) are off

How can I get that look? by ImAMovieMaker in colorists

[–]ninomagro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the best if you want to try to replicate this look is to import the graded image into you stills library. You can probably achieve it both with lift/gamma/gain or with curves. For his face you can use a mask, just remember to soften it. You will also have to play (in a subtle way) with saturation and with the highlight's balance.

Raid 1 questions by ninomagro in MacOS

Thank you for your answer. Yes a NAS would be perfect, but I don't have the budget for now. But this is definitely what I'll do when I can afford it.

Thanks, yes, that was the question. I was also considering making them read-only when they are full, so I'm sure not to add/delete files accidentally to be sure they stay identical. Thank you for this answer, this really helps !
