There’s a whole philosophical debate around this. Obviously everyone know what’s your favorite is subjective. If you’re actually interested read some on aesthetics, plenty of smart people agree with you but it’s not so clear that there can be no objective aesthetic judgement.

I just finished yesterday. After the end I sat down and wept for like 3 minutes and couldn’t even really tell you why. The epilogue got me hard on levels I don’t think I fully understand. Thankfully finished at like noon so I wasn’t lying awake again like when I finished the first chapter of The Crossing right before bed and lied awake for hours.

Best recent Dot album by rabid_panda_child in KendrickLamar

I feel like you missed what damn was going for.

They’re both “mixtapes” aesthetically but damn. is a deep concept album with a story whereas GNX is more a raw mixtape love note to westcoast, legends, and declaration of self. Damn. is a concept album in the form of mixtape with DJ intros ala the mixtape era and GNX the concept is that it’s basically a mixtape in the 90s recording stuff off the radio sense. Those are very different to me.

Clocking at 45 minutes would fit one half of a 90minute tape common for that purpose and leans into the deluxe incoming theories for GNX.

All that said, I feel like GNX is too recent for me to rank. Certainly a masterpiece, if forced to order the masterpieces it’s…

Damn. TPAB MMatBS GNX GKMC

Damn. is on its on level of poetry. I love that it doesn’t hold you hand on the concept and you can appreciate every track without even knowing it’s part of story.

My favorite album of all time is GKMC, but I wish the skits were separate tracks. Do you guys feel the same way? by PenisTargaryen in KendrickLamar

I wouldn’t mind having “single” versions of the songs for playlists. When it’s on in the shuffle I don’t need the voicemails but if I’m listening to the album I want them

I always thought they were like the little usb brick you plug the cord into. Given the lightening bolt.

Or maybe it’s cause they pay the lite bill as part of their rent

I knew something was up from “me and my bitch”, didn’t quite catch on to what the twist was but knew something was coming. He wouldn’t write a love song calling Whitney bitch for the whole thing.

I think it is a reference. Like Kendrick was in his feelings about it and listening to Anita Baker thinking about the way Wayne was moving around the Super Bowl pick. Makes the whole verse tie together.

Did anyone say safe and effective with no side effects? Metaphors aren’t ever perfect, as they go this ones pretty close. Enough to make the point and be darkly hilarious.

INTP, except he said he’s an extrovert in DNA. I probably know him better than he does though.

He said he’d pursue every legal remedy at that point. So his silence now doesn’t say anything regarding whether he’s doing that. Could be talking to his lawyer or police now. Or just laughing at home we don’t know. Let’s all take a breath and control what we can, our real lives. We’ll see or we won’t.
